Dani Smith was born and raised in Sparks, Nevada. She pursued a dual degree in Anthropology and Photography at the University of Nevada, Reno. She then went on to gain her MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts at Duke University.
Her work focuses on the way people interact with their environments and the containers we build to explore our identities. She has a passion for understanding people and for the ability of media arts to tell stories and influence the way people view the world.
She is now based in Staatsburg, NY.
